Scalia anchovy fillets have been cleaned, packed and salted in Sicily since 1973. These anchovies, caught in the Mediterranean Sea and are great used as a seasoning in a multitude of different dishes. Chop them up and rub them over lamb before roasting, melt them in a pan with garlic and chilli to use in pasta dishes, anchovy butter melted over new potatoes is heavenly or melted over a crumpet, scatter over pizza. Their umami seasoning qualities are so good, every kitchen should have a few cans as part of their store cupboard essentials.
